STEAM Expo 2017

Last year the REACH Foundation of Rockland held it’s first ever STEAM Expo. Over 1,700 visitors and exhibitors participated in, and were able to enjoy, this community exploration of Science – Technology – Engineering – Art and Math. Showcasing the extraordinary learning that goes on in the Ramapo Central School District, students and faculty representing all buildings and grade levels came together with community members and organizations, as well as, corporate entities both large and small to highlight how today’s education is preparing our children for tomorrow’s innovation.

This year, in addition to the interactive exhibits available to all ages, the Liberty Science Center, via a generous donation, will be presenting their ‘Science Circus’ and the Town of Ramapo’s Challenger Center will once again be bringing their traveling planetarium to Suffern High School on March 4th. Suffern High School’s Robotics Team will also be back to demonstrate why they’ve participated in the First Robotics World Championships for the past two years and provide some hands on engineering opportunities. Continue to check back at www.reachfoundation.org for an updated list of participants.

Exhibitors and Sponsors and Donations are welcome on various levels as all proceeds of this event provide for annual classroom grants and scholarships within the Ramapo Central School District. Student participants are invited to sign up through February 1,2017. All questions can be directed to reachsteamexpo@gmail.com.
