The REACH Foundation of Rockland, Inc. is led by an independent all-volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board members are drawn from the community and provide diverse representation. Board members are community members who share a deep commitment to public education in the Suffern Central School District.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

Jessica Swerdloff, Co-President

Jessica has been a resident of Montebello since 2003. She lives there with her husband and three boys, who attend Montebello Elementary, Suffern Middle School, and Suffern High School. She holds a BS in Marketing from Indiana University and an MS Ed in Elementary Education from Hunter College. Jessica began her career in public relations until realizing her adoration for education. She is currently a writing consultant and heads the gifted & talented program for the Old Tappan School District. Jessica has been involved with REACH since 2011 and is excited to take on the role of Co-president to continue enriching the SCSD through funding grants, scholarships, and the annual STEAM Expo.

Sara Aufgang, Co-President

Sara first volunteered to help at the 2015 STEAM Expo, and has enjoyed being a part of REACH ever since then. Currently serving as Co-president, she is excited about the future of REACH. Sara graduated from Brandeis University, and pursued a career in television production and marketing before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Recently, she earned her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and works as a counselor at a local non-profit agency. In her free time, Sara loves spending time with her husband and two young boys.

Faith Hunter, VP Events

Faith has been a resident of the Suffern Central School District since 2009 and active in the REACH Foundation since 2015.  She and her husband Randy have three children who attend Montebello Elementary School and Suffern Middle School.  Faith holds a dual degree in Spanish and English from the University at Buffalo and Masters degrees from NYU and the College of New Rochelle.  She has been a Spanish and ENL (English as a New Language) teacher in our district since 1999 and has taught at Viola, Cherry Lane, Montebello and Suffern Middle School.

Rebecca Salamone, Secretary

Rebecca and her husband Michael moved to Suffern in 2003 and have two children ages 15 and 13.
Rebecca received her BA from the State University of NY at Albany with a degree in English and Communications. Before moving to Suffern, Rebecca managed Commencement for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and organized fundraising events for The Mount Sinai Hospital.
After taking some time to be home with her family, Rebecca has been a teaching assistant for preschool children and at the elementary level for students who require special services.
Rebecca is passionate about education and is excited to join the REACH Foundation Board to benefit Suffern Central schools.

Roni Silver, Treasurer

Roni has been a resident of Airmont since 2003 with her husband, Andrew. She has two sons and a daughter. She holds a BS in accounting from Binghamton University. She is a CPA and is currently working as the Director of Finance at a single family office located in Pearl River. She enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, watching football and baseball and spending time with her family. She has been active in the Reach Foundation since 2012.

TRUSTEES

Marlo Dickman

Marlo Dickman has lived in Rockland County for 15 years.  She and her family moved to Montebello in 2011, drawn by the beautiful natural environment of the area and the excellent schools in the Suffern Central School District.  Originally from Los Angeles, Marlo has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University.  She joined the REACH Foundation as a board member after attending the first REACH STEAM Expo in 2016.  She currently co-chairs the Grant Committee, and looks forward every year to the creative and innovative projects in education submitted by the District’s teachers and staff!

Brooke Friess

Brooke Friess has lived in Suffern for a little over three years with her husband and two sons.  She received her MS in Early Childhood Special Education from Hunter College.  She taught special education in the city for 10 years before having kids, and has recently begun providing Early Intervention services through an agency in NJ.  Her oldest son just entered the SCSD, and as a family they attended their first STEAM Expo last year.  She has joined the REACH foundation this year and is excited about being a part of such an amazing community event.

Gloria Krantz

Gloria Krantz has been a resident of Montebello since 2010 with her husband, Sam, and their three young children.  Gloria earned a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2002 and worked as a litigation attorney at a law firm in Manhattan for six years. Gloria also holds a BA degree in Spanish and International Studies from Colby College. Currently, she and her husband are Partners in their law firm, Krantz & Krantz, LLP, specializing in Immigration and Nationality Law. Gloria is presently taking a break from the practice of law to raise their children. Gloria is also an avid figure skater who competed in state, regional and sectional competitions. This is Gloria’s sixth year on the Executive Board of REACH and she is a Co-Chair of the REACH Grant Committee.  She is committed to taking an active role in the Suffern Central School District and in our community.

Meg McCluskey

Meg has been a Suffern resident since 2002. She has three children is the Suffern Central School district and has been an active member of the elementary, middle school and high school PTAs for many years.  She joined REACH in 2018, so that she could help support the district as a whole, and have input and an impact on the wonderful scholarship and grant opportunities that the organization provides the teachers and students.   

Meg has a BA in Communications/Public Relations from Marist College, and spent over 15 years as a Licensing and Marketing Executive in the children’s industry.  In 2010, she left the corporate world to start her own business, and now runs Chic & Tidy, a company that does professional organizing and custom closet design.  

Meg is excited to be part of such a positive organization that plans great events, and does so much to enrich our students’ education!

Rosana Millos (Popowitz)

Rosana Millos (Popowitz) moved to Suffern in 2005.  She is married with three children ages 17, 14 and 9. She received her BS degree in chemistry from Brown University and her MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She lived briefly in Miami where she completed her residency and a fellowship in medical education and the San Francisco Bay Area prior to moving back to the northeast. She currently works for Bon Secours Medical Group as an internist in Pomona, New York.  She enjoys running, tennis and spending time with her family.  She is excited to join the Reach Foundation as a board member this year.

Sean Salo

Sean Salo has been a Suffern resident for two decades and is raising two daughters with his wife, Katie. The REACH Foundation’s record of success in funding critical STEAM education programs and projects in the SCSD was the main driver for his involvement. He currently runs his own business, The Entrepreneur’s Source, coaching people looking to learn how to make career transitions from corporate jobs to self-sufficiency through business ownership. Previously, led marketing efforts at several international media companies and digital agencies. In his spare time, he is a marketing consultant and music collector, not necessarily in that order.

Katie Schroeder

Katie Schroeder has lived in Suffern for almost 20 years and has two teen daughters and an adoring husband. She has been inspired by the work of the REACH Foundation for many years and is hoping to help support its good works and mission. In her spare time, she is a communications executive in New York City where she develops public relations strategies and media opportunities for a wide array of companies, brands, and organizations. Her background includes corporate and crisis communications; film and television studios; live entertainment, concerts, and events; New York City agencies; business and brand leaders; and non-profit and charitable organizations.

Rachel Staulcup

Rachel has been a resident of Suffern for 22 years. Her older son began at RP Connor in 2006 and she has been a parent in the district, holding every PTA position possible, for the last 13 years. Rachel holds a BA in Visual Arts and Social Sciences from SUNY Purchase and a Masters of Science in Special Education from The College of New Rochelle. She taught in the South Bronx for 10 years prior to having her two boys, and recently returned to teaching within the Suffern Central School District in Montebello Elementary. She is honored to give back to the very school community who has provided such rich and wonderful experiences for her own children.

David Swerdloff

David has been a resident of Montebello since 2003. He lives there with his wife and three boys. David holds BA in history from Indiana University. David works in Human Resources in the finance industry. He has been involved with REACH since 2015 and is excited to join the board in 2019.

Tanya Yankova

Tanya Yankova has been a resident of Suffern Central School District since 2005 and has a son attending Suffern Middle School and a daughter attending Cherry Lane Elementary School.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University.  Tanya worked as a software engineer at a financial firm for 11 years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom.  This is her first year as a member of the REACH Foundation.
